A dessert is usually a sweet dish, for example fruits, baked products, or tian tang (sweet soup), served at the end of the meal.  Desserts come in 2 forms: light or heavy, and can be served either hot or cold.  Light desserts (e.g. fruits, cheng tng) are served after a heavy meal, and heavy desserts (e.g. yam paste, cheesecake) are served after a light meal.
